DEBBIE "MAMA" VOLTA
I AM HERE TO HELP MAKE YOUR LIFE IN THE KITCHEN EASIER, HEALTHIER, AND MORE ENJOYABLE
Coming to work for my daughter is an exciting new adventure for me! I am a mom of 4 grown kids and 8 wonderful grandchildren, and I've been retired now for 2 years. Over the years, I have spent most of my career teaching general music classes in Philadelphia and teaching private piano lessons in my home.
One of my favorite things to do these days is cooking, but it wasn't always that way. I remember my early years being so scared of having company over. I would stress over so many things. Would the food be yummy enough? Would my house be clean enough? It was STRESSFUL to have people over! Once it really sunk in that the people who came for dinner could care less about my house or what I was feeding them, it freed me up to truly enjoying what I was doing.
What I bring to THE VOLTA WAY is the gift of encouraging and supporting others with the skills they need to enjoy their time in the kitchen. There can be so many hurdles to navigating meal prep these days and things can become overwhelming fast. How to incorporate gluten and dairy free options, nut allergies, vegetarian, vegan, the list goes on! Some people never really learned how to cook healthy meals for their friends and family. Others need to learn how to prepare meals ahead to ease the burden for their working family. These are skills that I have honed over years with my own family's unique needs, I would love to teach them to you!
I want to help bless families with the skills they need so the kitchen is not a place of stress. I want to share some of the many things I have learned over the years that might encourage you. Each family has different needs and I am here to help to make your life in the kitchen easier, healthier, and more enjoyable.

Praise for Mama Volta
"I had a challenge: I needed to create a week’s worth of menus for a small group of friends, all with varying needs and preferences. After a significant time of thinking, planning, dithering and pondering, it occurred to me I might ask Mama Volta. Smartest decision I could have made.
She took time to hear all my concerns. She made lists of my tentative plans. She sharpened and refined them, affirmed much of my initial thinking, and even provided a variety of recipes while we were talking to supplement the main courses I was thinking of.
What a relief! Clarity, confirmation, direction…and recipes! The week turned out to be all I had hoped for. People felt spoiled, and came away nourished in body and spirit. Thank you, Mama Volta!"
